Ultra Controlo has successfully completed the delivery, commissioning, and training for four ULTRAOX oxygen production plants across Liberia. This historic initiative is a game-changer for the country’s healthcare system, equipping hospitals in Grand Gedeh County, Grand Kru County, Nimba County, and Lofa County with state-of-the-art oxygen production systems capable of delivering 1,700 cubic meters of oxygen daily.
The Challenge
Liberia has faced longstanding challenges in accessing medical oxygen, particularly in rural areas. For the first time, healthcare facilities in these regions have reliable access to this life-saving resource. These systems are designed to operate for at least 20 years or 150,000 hours, ensuring their long-term sustainability.
Training Local Teams for Long-Term Impact
This project included comprehensive theoretical and practical training for hospital technicians. These teams now have the expertise to operate and maintain the ULTRAOX plants, making this achievement sustainable for decades. Empowering local professionals is a cornerstone of Ultra Controlo’s vision, and we are proud to help build capacity in Liberia.
